Submission Guidelines
At Bahuswara, we welcome contributions from writers, journalists, researchers, activists, and content creators who share our commitment to democracy, secularism, human rights, and social justice. We accept submissions in both Malayalam and English.
What We Look For
We publish original, well-researched, and thought-provoking content across various formats:
- Opinion & Analytical Articles: Deep dives into political, social, economic, cultural, and environmental issues (800 – 1,500 words).
- Ground Reports & Features: Fact-checked reporting on human rights, community stories, and local governance (1,000 – 2,000 words).
- Essays & Cultural Reviews: Perspectives on art, literature, cinema, and society (800 – 1,200 words).
- Audio & Visual Content: Pitches for podcasts, video essays, or photo/multimedia stories.
Key Requirements
- Originality: Submissions must be completely original and not previously published on any other online or print platform (including personal blogs).
- Fact-Based & Pluralistic: Content must adhere to high ethical standards—free from hate speech, personal attacks, or unverified claims.
- Plagiarism & AI Policy: Plagiarized content or raw, unedited AI-generated text will be rejected immediately.
Non-Profit Policy & Remuneration
Bahuswara is an independent, non-profit media platform driven by social responsibility and community support.
Important Note: As we operate entirely on a non-profit basis, we are currently unable to offer financial compensation or remuneration to our contributors. We deeply value and appreciate your voluntary contributions in strengthening democratic and progressive discourse.

- Subject Line: Submission / Pitch: [Title of your article/media project]
- [Language: Malayalam/English]
- A brief summary (2–3 sentences) of your article or media pitch.
- A short bio (2–3 lines) introducing yourself.
- Your preferred contact number (optional).
Attachment / Links:
- Attach your text article as an editable document (Google Doc link or .docx format).
- For Audio/Visual proposals, please provide a link to a Google Drive folder or a private streaming link (Vimeo, YouTube, SoundCloud) containing sample clips or rough cuts.
Review & Response Time
Our editorial team reviews submissions on a rolling basis. Due to the high volume of emails, it may take us 3 to 7 working days to respond. If you do not hear back from us within 7 days, feel free to pitch your work elsewhere.
